Birth

On Thursday the 3rd of June I finally had a show and started slight contractions, at 41 weeks along:) I called DH who came home form work, called my Mum who was sent home form work (lol) and called my midwife.

DH arrived home and we set about having a quick tidy up, and made sure all the towels were washed (and we did use all of them!). We finally got to put the birth pool togther as well. I then made muffins, and beef stew, as I still felt the need to have something to do:)

My midwife checked in with me over the phone, and said that it still sounded like ealry days, and to make sure that we all got as much rest as possible. My Mum arrived and took over watching DS 21 months for us, and made my go have a nap. I managed a little bit of sleep, but the contractions were starting to get a bit stronger later in the day.

That night I actually slept in the bath for a while as this made sleeping through the contractions a bit easier.

I suck at posting:)

a bit of a gap in posting, I love reading other blogs but I rarely post anything on my own:)

I'm 40+3 today...no sign of labour...not that I'm grumpy about this or anything....

I was 40+10 with DS before any sign of labour..but I'm starting to have bad dreams about the hospital where I had the last scan done trying to insist that I have to be induced..followed by now you have to have another C-section. It's messing with my head a bit, DH was late this morning to work because I was sitting on the bed crying for ages, just due to the stress of it all.

Thye ABA meeting was good this morning though...most of the discussion was about homebirth...They are all waiting to see the baby, and really keen to hear about the labour and birth:)

I can see why women are so often talked into inducing baby before it's time....I have heartburn from a pair of small feet kicking me in the tummy, no amount of sleep is enough, and I had a big cry at my poor Mum today over the phone because I was too tired to but away the washing....

why is it that I wake up at 3, and then just can't go back to sleep????

what the?

so some guy calls my phone, he says he was asked to call me about a job. I am expecting a call about the gutters, so I ask who passed on my number?

He doesn't know. What Job do you need doing he asks??

At this point I'm a bit suss, if he doesn't know who called him and what for, then he's just marked himself as unreliable!!

Please don't call again!

I need more!!!! must go an buy some...but that involves getting of the counch damnit...

The stuff we have here is just getting a wee bit too fermented:) which means...kimchee soup!!! so not all bad:)
